“How to Elicit and Change the Values and Beliefs in Your World that Drive You….and Make Changes for Maximum Future Success”
By Lynda Dyer
Why?
Values are what is important to us and how we judge when we, and others, have done something well or not.
What?
Values are related to our identity. They drive our behaviour and are the fundamental principles we live by. Values give us motivation and direction. Surrounding each value we have a series of beliefs. These are mostly stored in the subconscious so we may not be aware of, or understand, our driving forces. (ideas from Joseph O’Connor, Pip McKay, Tad James)
- We acquire values, like beliefs from our experiences and from modelling family/ friends.
- Values are usually unconscious
- Values embody what is important to us and they are supported by beliefs
- What are your values around Career, Relationships, Money, Family, Spiritual Life?
How? The Formation of Values
Sociologist Morris Massey researched that people go through a series of developmental periods in the creation of their major core values.
- 0-7 Imprint period
- 8-13 Modelling Period
- 14-21 Socialisation Period
- 21–35 Business (William James says that we take our values from above sources and put them into our business)
So HOW do we find out what our values are and what drives us?
What If You Could CHANGE Your Values?
What if you could elicit your values and find out what drives your behaviour in a chosen area of your life? What if you could then CHANGE the values you wish to change so your future is not held back by any limiting belief that may have been behind those initial values???
This Seminar will assist you to elicit your values and release limiting beliefs around unwanted values that do not serve you, then you will have the opportunity to change your values and what will be driving you in the chosen areas of your life.
